Watch: Fawad Alam fell victim to a fine piece of fielding from Temba Bavuma in the second Test between Pakistan and South Africa.
With Pakistan 149-2 on day two, Alam punched Kagiso Rabada into the covers to try and steal a quick single, but Bavuma swooped in to land an accurate throw at the stumps.
Alam – who hit a century in the first Test – was dismissed for 45 to leave Pakistan five down.
Bavuma’s run-out bore some similarity to arguably his most famous direct hit: against Australia in 2016, the South African ran out David Warner at the non-striker’s end with both of his feet off the ground when he released his throw.
