Pakistan will take on New Zealand in a two-Test series starting December 27, which will then be followed by three ODIs. Here is a complete list of fixtures, including match timings for PAK v NZ Tests & ODIs.
Pakistan have a packed home schedule over the next few weeks. After their three-match Test series against England, they will lock horns with the New Zealand in a two-game affair. This series would be crucial from the hosts’ perspective, considering they would want to notch up World Test Championship (WTC) points on the board and compete against the reigning WTC champions.
New Zealand, on the other hand, have not been in great Test form this year, having lost home matches to Bangladesh and South Africa. They were also whitewashed in England earlier this year, meaning that this series against Pakistan is the perfect opportunity for them to get back into form.
The ODI series will also be important for both sides, considering the next World Cup is less than a year away. The tournament will be played in India, where conditions will not be too dissimilar to the ones found in Pakistan. Hence, both Pakistan and New Zealand will be looking to make the most of this series and figure out what their first-choice elevens could look like in a year’s time.
