Watch: David Warner showcased his softer side while batting in the first Test against Pakistan, sharing a joke and a laugh with the home bowling attack on several occasions.
During the morning session, Pakistan fast bowlers bowled their hearts out on a flat wicket in Rawalpindi, trying their best to get the better of Australia openers without much success. On the way they tried to rough up Warner, but they met little success in that as well.
The left-handed opener was in a jovial mood. He didn’t seem to mind the chatter from Shaheen Shah Afridi, smiling back at the left-arm pacer. He was seen laughing with Mohammad Rizwan, and didn’t get upset even after copping a blow on his hand from Naseem Shah.
The young pacer tried to incite the batter with a few words after the incident, but Warner diffused the situation with a smile.
The Pakistan quicks saw the funny side too, with Shaheen imitating Warner’s hand gesture showing how much a ball had moved.
