Pakistan Junior League 2022 will begin on October 6 – here is the schedule, containing the full list of fixtures and match timings for PJL 2022/23.

The inaugural edition of the Pakistan Junior League will get underway with a night match between Gujranwala Giants and Mardan Warriors on October 6. To quote PCB chair Rameez Raja, the PJL is “a city-based league with players to be selected through a draft system involving international age-group cricketers.”

The tournament features six teams, each mentored by a former international cricketer. Of Pakistan cricketers, Shahid Afridi has been assigned the Mardan Warriors, while Shoaib Malik will mentor the Gujranwala Giants. Among international stars, Viv Richards, Imran Tahir, Daren Sammy, and Colin Munro have been allotted the Gwadar Sharks, the Bahawalpur Royals, the Hyderabad Hunters, and the Rawalpindi Raiders respectively.

The six teams will play in a round-robin league, between October 6 and 16. Apart from the afternoon matches of the four double-headers, every match will be played under lights. These will be followed by the four Playoff matches, between October 18 and 21. The entire tournament will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
