West Indies will play New Zealand in three T20Is and two Tests in November and December 2020 – here’s the schedule and complete list of fixtures.
The tour will begin with the T20I series, starting with the first game on November 27 in Auckland. Before the T20I leg, West Indies will face New Zealand A in two tour games: one, a three-day practice game in Queenstown, and the other a four-day first-class match at the same venue.
The opening T20I will be played in Auckland, while the remaining two games, scheduled to be played in successive days, will be hosted in Mt Maunganui.
The action will then shift to Hamilton for the first Test of the two-match series, while the second Test will be played at Wellington after a four-day gap. It will be New Zealand’s first international series since March.
The New Zealand T20I side will be led by Tim Southee for the first two matches. Kane Williamson, the regular captain, and Trent Boult have been rested for the T20Is ahead of the Test series. In T20Is, West Indies will be led by Kieron Pollard, while Jason Holder will continue as Test captain. Roston Chase has been promoted to vice-captaincy for the West Indies Test side, while Nicholas Pooran will be T20I vice-captain.
