Bangladesh, New Zealand and Pakistan will play a tri-series in New Zealand beginning October 7. Here is the complete schedule for the T20I tri-series, including match timings.
Bangladesh, New Zealand and Pakistan have all qualified for the Super 12 stage of the upcoming T20 World Cup and they will be looking at this series to prepare adequately for the ICC event. Pakistan are currently playing a seven-match T20I rubber against England and are slated to fly out to New Zealand as soon as it concludes.
The Kiwis’ last international assignment, meanwhile, was an ODI series against Australia in Australia. They failed to win a game, though, meaning that this tri-series gives them the perfect opportunity to build towards the T20 World Cup. Their last T20I engagement was a 2-1 victory against the West Indies.
Bangladesh, meanwhile, have struggled for rhythm in the shortest format. They lost to Zimbabwe away from home and were also eliminated in the group stages of the Asia Cup.
All matches are set to take place at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The opening fixture sees Bangladesh take on Pakistan on October 7. The final has been scheduled for October 14 at the same venue.
