Bangladesh will tour New Zealand for a two Test match series, commencing on January 1, 2022. This is a big challenge for the Bangladesh side for they have lost every international game they’ve played against New Zealand in New Zealand. They will hope to upend the hosts, who are missing out on their skipper Kane Williamson, but this will be no easy task. They are also missing out on their star player, Shakib Al Hasan, and would need their senior players to give their best in difficult conditions.
New Zealand have been extremely successful at home of late, and will look to continue their run against Bangladesh. This will be an emotional moment for quite a few as Ross Taylor has announced that this will be the final Test series of his international career. Another announcement which caught some by surprise was the exclusion of Ajaz Patel, who took a ten-for in an innings in his last Test in Mumbai, from the squad.
