New Zealand will host Bangladesh for three ODIs in December 2023. Here is the NZ vs BAN ODIs 2023 squad for each side, including full team lists.
Bangladesh will tour New Zealand for three ODIs and three T20Is, all of which will be played between December 17 and 31, 2023. The tour will begin with three ODIs, at Dunedin on December 17, Nelson on December 20, and Napier on December 23.
Tim Southee will not be part of the series, and Tom Latham will lead New Zealand instead. Other notable absentees are Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, and Trent Boult.
Ish Sodhi, too, will play only the first of the three ODIs. For the other two, New Zealand will bring in Adithya Ashok and Ben Sears.
Neither Shakib Al Hasan nor Tamim Iqbal nor Mahmudullah will feature in this series, though the other major names, including Mushfiqur Rahim, will play. Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead Bangladesh.
Bangladesh made 334 in 50-over tour match at Nelson, thanks to fifties from Rishad Hossain, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Soumya Sarkar, and Litton Das. Rishad also claimed three wickets, as did Afif, as they bowled out New Zealand XI for 308.
