Karnataka, the Indian state team that have won four of the last 10 seasons of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, will tour Namibia for five 50-over matches in June.

The Karnataka squad will features some familiar names in Indian domestic cricket, but it also includes some Under-19 cricketers. They include fast bowler Vijaykumar Vyshak, who impressed for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the recently concluded IPL.

Karnataka will be coached by PV Shashikanth, while Ashutosh Poll will manage the team.

Namibia had hosted the ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifiers Playoffs. Only two teams – UAE and USA – made it to the Playoffs, to be played in Zimbabwe in June, so third-placed Namibia missed out.

While not a full-strength squad – there is no David Wiese or Ruben Trumpelmann – Namibia do boast of some major names, including captain Gerhardus Erasmus, Stephan Baard, Jan Frylinck, Zane Green, Bernard Scholtz, Michael van Lingen, and Pikky Ya France.
