India take on Ireland in a two-match T20I series that will be played from June 26 to 28, 2022 – here is the full squad list for the series, along with team news and injury replacement news.
The series will begin on June 26 with the first T20I, and will be followed by the second game on 28th – both matches will be held at The Village in Dublin.
For India, it is a chance to test their squad depth and give some of their fringe players game time ahead of the T20 World Cup later this year. The team will be led by Hardik Pandya, with a number of experienced players currently in the UK, preparing for the fifth Test against England next month.
While the side has experience in the form of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dinesh Karthik and Yuzvendra Chahal, there are also a few fresh faces in the form of the uncapped duo of Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh.
Ireland will be led by Andy Balbirnie, and have a good amount of experience in the side with the likes of Paul Stirling and George Dockrell in the squad. The two teams have met thrice in T20Is, including a two-match bilateral series in 2018 ahead of India’s England tour. India have won on all three occasions.
