There have been a lot of movement among the backroom staff of various franchises, with many switching their alliance before the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024 auction on December 19. Here is the latest, updated list of IPL coaches and support staff for each team for IPL 2024.

The most significant development from the pre-auction coaching staff rejig was the return of former title-winning captain Gautam Gambhir to Kolkata Knight Riders as a mentor. He linked up with his former franchise moments after announcing his departure from the Lucknow Super Giants, where he worked as a mentor in 2022 and 2023. Gambhir will work alongside head coach Chandrakant Pandit.

Royal Challengers Bangalore parted ways with Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar, the top brass of their coaching staff from the last year. Andy Flower, who offered his service to Lucknow Super Giants the previous season, became the latest head coach of the franchise.

Flower’s departure made way for Justin Langer as the new LSG head coach. Having coached Australia to their maiden T20I World Cup title in 2021, besides three Big Bash League titles for Perth Scorchers, Langer is all set to embrace his maiden assignment as an IPL coach.

Another notable change in coaching staff was the appointment of Daniel Vettori as the latest head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad. The former New Zealand all-rounder succeeded Brian Lara in that role.
