Chennai Super Kings will start their IPL 2024 by playing the curtain-raiser match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 22, followed by an encore of last year’s final against Gujarat Titans on March 26. Both their first opening matches will be held at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

They will travel outside Chennai for the first time in IPL 2024 for their third game against Delhi Capitals on April 3 in DC’s adopted home venue Visakhapatnam.

Chennai Super Kings became the titleholders for the record fifth time in last year’s season, equalling Mumbai Indians’ tally. Their victory in the final has given them the rights to host the final of IPL 2024 at their home venue, which means if they qualify for the final this year again, they’ll have the advantage of playing in home conditions.
