RR v GT: IPL 2023 team news

Rajasthan are fourth on the table and coming into this game having conceded the first 200-plus run-chase at Wankhede in the IPL. They don’t have availability concerns but might look to replace Jason Holder who has not had much positive impact so far. Adam Zampa played in the previous game in Jaipur. He can come in for Holder.

Gujarat lost their last match despite Mohammed Shami’s heroics with the ball in the powerplay. However, they don’t have much to be concerned about in terms of personnel, except perhaps Wriddhiman Saha, who is having a poor season. They can replace him with KS Bharat. Josh Little, the Irish left-arm pacer, will in all probability fly out for Ireland’s ODI series against Bangladesh after tonight’s match, so they are sorted in terms of availability as well, for this game at least.

RR v GT: Today’s IPL match prediction

Rajasthan and Gujarat have started to form a rivalry of sorts since last year. Gujarat had the better of them in all the three matches they played last year, while Rajasthan beat them in a come-from-behind run chase earlier this year in Ahmedabad. Both teams are coming into this game on the back of defeats. Rajasthan, with their confidence from the last time they beat Gujarat, and the fact that this is a home game for them, will have a slight edge heading into the fixture.
