MI vs GT: IPL 2023 team news
Mumbai Indians have been exceptional while chasing in IPL 2023, while Gujarat Titans have been known as the chase masters ever since they came on board in IPL 2022. Mumbai have won five out of the seven games where they have fielded first this year, while Gujarat have won 13 out of the 15 games where they have chased a total since last year.
Mumbai have suffered a blow with the withdrawal of Jofra Archer from the tournament. Chris Jordan, his replacement, got a game straightaway in Mumbai’s last match against Bangalore. However, he didn’t have a great outing, giving away 48 runs in his four overs. He might get replaced by Riley Meredith for tonight’s game, given he is fully fit and available. Tilak Varma, after missing out on the last two games due to injury, is expected to be fit and back in the XI tonight.
Gujarat have been very settled and secure with their XI, and have refrained from making too many changes. With the winning momentum they have got, it won’t be a surprise if they go in with the same XI from their previous game against Lucknow.

MI v GT: IPL prediction for today’s match 57
Both Mumbai and Gujarat have won three out of their last four games and are in good form. Mumbai, however, are in especially brilliant chasing form, while being not so good while setting up a total. Whichever team gets to chase in tonight’s match will be the favourite, especially given the game is at Wankhede which has seen two successful run chases of 200 or more in the last two matches.
