CSK v DC: IPL 2023 team news

Chennai are looking like a settled unit currently, especially after the return of Deepak Chahar. They have played the same 12 players in their last two games and you can expect the same for tonight’s game as well.

Anrich Nortje had gone home a few nights back for a personal emergency. He hasn’t joined the Delhi squad yet and will continue to remain unavailable for tonight’s match. That means Delhi will have another opportunity to continue with an all-overseas top four. Lalit Yadav can be expected to make a comeback tonight given the spinning nature of the Chennai surface and his ability to bowl off-spin, which will be crucial against a left-hander-heavy Chennai batting lineup.

CSK v DC: Predicted XIs for today’s IPL matches

CSK XI: Devon Conway, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ajinkya Rahane, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (c) (wk), Deepak Chahar, Maheesh Theekshana, Matheesha Pathirana, Tushar Deshpande.

DC XI: David Warner (c), Phil Salt (wk), Mitchell Marsh, Rilee Rossouw, Manish Pandey, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar.

CSK v DC: Today’s IPL 2023 match prediction

DC are on an upward trajectory having won four out of their last five matches. But they are still at the bottom of the table while CSK continue to sit comfortably at the second spot. They have been beaten a couple of times at home this season, but their bowlers have stepped up in the last two games and with almost everyone contributing in some way or other, they are looking like the strongest team in the league after Gujarat. Delhi will believe they can compete given their form, but it will be an uphill challenge for them.
