The IPL auction 2023 will be held on December 23 2022 in Kochi, India – below is the remaining budget that each team has to spend from their purse on players to complete their squad.

IPL 2023 will be the sixteenth edition of the competition. Each squad can have a maximum number of 25 members and a minimum of 18, eight of which can be overseas. Below is also listed how many players and overseas recruits each team currently has.
In total, 163 players were kept on including 50 overseas, with Delhi Capitals retaining the most with 20, whilst Sunrisers Hyderabad have the potential to double their squad in size having kept just 12 players on.

Last year’s winners Gujarat Titans kept on 18 of their players and have seven slots left including spaces for three more overseas. A full list of those players retained for each team can be found here.
One of the headline omissions was Sunrisers Hyderabad releasing their captain Kane Williamson, whilst IPL legends Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard have both retired from the competition and will no longer be representing Chennai Super Kings or Mumbai Indians respectively.
