Watch: Rishabh Pant unleashed a monstrous one-handed six off a full toss by Jason Holder in the second T20I between India and West Indies at Kolkata.
The shot took place in the 19th over of the India innings. By this stage, Venkatesh Iyer and Pant had given India the initiative the side needed in the death overs. The duo had added 58 runs off 26 balls. Pant kept his foot on the pedal and went after Holder.
The West Indies pacer missed out on his yorker and ended up gifting a full toss to the batter. The India keeper didn’t move and swung his bat in full flow. His bottom hand came off, even as he connected superbly with the ball. The ball flew all the way above the mid-wicket boundary for an 81 meter six. A loud thud could be heard immediately after the stroke was played.
Harsha Bhogle, on air, said, “Well, I think you want a sound engineer to replay that for sound alone.”
