The India captain was impressive with his tactics, whether it be the bowling changes during close run chase or how he oversaw the shuffling of the pack through the series. He also got some crucial runs in the first T20I.

Ishan Kishan: 4/10

71 runs @ 23.66, HS 35, S/R 85.54

The youngster had a great opportunity in the absence of KL Rahul, however he surprised everyone with his conservative approach in the first two games. He showed great promise in the third T20I but was eventually unable to convert his start to a substantial score.

Ruturaj Gaikwad: 2/10

4 runs @ 4, HS 4, S/R 50

The highly rated young opener finally got an opportunity in the final T20I but failed to get going, gifting a catch to third man off the bowling of Jason Holder.

Virat Kohli: 7/10

69 runs @ 34.5, HS 52, S/R 127.77

Virat Kohli couldn’t get many runs in the first game, but played a good hand in the second match with a useful 52 which helped the India innings get going, and put them at an advantageous position in the game.

Rishabh Pant: 8/10

60 runs @ 60, HS 52*, S/R 166.66

Rishabh Pant’s 28-ball 52 helped India to a match-winning total in the second T20I. He forged a brilliant partnership with Venkatesh Iyer, adding 76 runs off mere 35 balls to get India to 186-5 which proved to be too many despite Rovman Powell’s brilliant hitting.

Suryakumar Yadav: 8.5/10

107 runs @ 53.50, HS 65, S/R 194.54

Suryakumar Yadav was in red-hot form throughout the series. He was terrific in the first game, where he helped India’s chase with an 18-ball 34 and also did well in the third match where he smashed a 31-ball 65.

Venkatesh Iyer: 8/10

92 runs @ 92, HS 35*, S/R 184

The Madhya Pradesh all-rounder had an excellent series, playing important roles for India in all three games. But he was especially useful in the fifth-wicket stand with Yadav in the series finale, with the duo adding 91 runs off 37 balls in what was a relentless onslaught during the death overs.

Shreyas Iyer: 7/10

25 runs @ 25, HS 25, S/R 156.25

Shreyas featured in the final T20I and added some quick runs with Ishan Kishan. He hit some classy boundaries before losing his wicket to Hayden Walsh in the ninth over.

Harshal Patel: 7/10

5 wickets @ 21, BBI 3-22, Econ 8.75

Harshal Patel had a decent first game, but lost his way during the second T20I where he leaked a number of runs. He corrected his course during the final T20I and delivered a match-winning performance with the ball.

Deepak Chahar: 5/10

3 wickets @ 27.66, BBI 2-15, Econ 9.39

Deepak Chahar wasn’t at his best in the first two T20Is but helped his side get two crucial breakthroughs in the third match before hobbling off the pitch with an injury.

Yuzvendra Chahal: 5/10

2 wickets @ 32.5, BBI 1-31, Econ 8.12

A number of India fans had expected the ‘KulCha’ magic to take centerstage during the T20I series, but that was not to be. While Kuldeep didn’t play a single game, Chahal was outdone by the young Ravi Bishnoi in the two games that he featured in.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar: 6/10

2 wickets @ 30, BBI 1-29, Econ 7.5

Kumar bowled with control in the first two games, and managed to deliver a breathtaking over in the death during the second T20I. He gave away only four runs in the 19th over, picking the dangerous Nicholas Pooran on the way to swing the game in India’s favour.

Avesh Khan: 2/10

0 wickets, Econ 10.5

A forgettable debut for Khan in the third game of the series.

Shardul Thakur- 6/10

2 wickets @ 16.5, BBI 2-33, Econ 8.25

Thakur made a brilliant comeback in the final T20I after being hit for 18 runs in his very first over. He gave away just 11 runs across his final two overs, and also picked two wickets in the death.

Ravi Bishnoi: 8/10

3 wickets @ 25.33, BBI 2-17, Econ 6.33

The young leg-spinner impressed one and all with his performance in the series. He managed to beat the bat and trouble the West Indies players even in dew-laden conditions.
