Watch: Kuldeep Yadav produced a beauty against Aiden Markram in the first India-South Africa ODI, but a similar delivery that outfoxed Babar Azam at the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup might be even better.

This dismissal took place during India’s encounter against Pakistan at Old Trafford in the 2019 World Cup. Pakistan, chasing 337, had gotten off to a decent start. Fakhar Zaman had registered a fifty and Babar was batting on 48, with the score reading 117-1. At that moment, Kuldeep produced a moment of magic that completely flummoxed Babar.

The India spinner flighted the ball on a length outside off stump. The ball drifted away from the batter before pitching and spinning back sharply. Babar, who had to go searching for it, could only waft at the delivery as it snaked past the outside edge and crashed into middle and off stump. This wicket turned the tide of the game and India won the match comfortably by 89 runs (D/L method).

Kuldeep produced a very similar delivery on Thursday against South Africa. On this occasion, he bamboozled Aiden Markram, with a ball that spun back sharply and pegged back the stumps. But that might pale in comparison to how he outwitted Babar at Old Trafford a few years ago.
