Watch: Washington Sundar took a brilliant full-length diving catch off his own bowling to dismiss a struggling Mark Chapman during the first India-New Zealand T20I on Friday.
Batting first, New Zealand lost Finn Allen on the second ball of the fifth over, with the batter slogging a Sundar delivery only to find the fielder at deep mid-wicket after a fast start. Chapman, at No.3, was all at sea against Sundar, with the ball beating his edge as he found no answer to the spin that was being dished out.
Four balls after dismissing Allen, who had made 35 in 23, Sundar had his second victim of the night, as he took a stunner. Chapman finally got bat to an outside off-stump delivery and pushed it back to the bowler, who dived full-length to his right and latched on to the ball with both hands, inches away from the ground.
TV replies confirmed that it was a clean catch as the Kiwis fell to 43-2.
