Wood was England’s star with the ball as his 3-31 helped restrict India to 156-6 from their 20 overs. Wood’s presence was missed in the second T20I which he was unavailable for through injury; his replacement Tom Curran conceded 26 runs from two overs.
Wood was back to his best on his return to this side, taking 3-31, figures that were ruined somewhat by a Virat Kohli onslaught in his final over. He set the tone for the innings with the wicket of Rahul with a 90.5 mph delivery that tailed into the batsman and squeezed through his defence.
