The fifth India-England Test at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh beginning on March 7 is expected to be rain-affected. Here are the weather updates for IND vs ENG 2024, including rain forecast and daily weather predictions.

The match will begin on Thursday at the picturesque Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. India have already clinched the series, having won the last three matches, despite faltering in the opening Test at Hyderabad. The hosts have a chance to solidify their top spot on the WTC points table, while England, currently down in eighth, will hope to accumulate some vital points to stay within reach of the leading group.

Dharamshala rain forecast: Day one

There is an 82 per cent chance of rain during the day with winds at 19 kmph also expected to lash the city. Accuweather says the weather is going to be “Mostly cloudy and chilly” with “a little morning rain followed by a couple of thundershowers in the afternoon”.

BBC’s weather updates predict “sleet showers and light winds throughout the day” with temperatures hovering between 1° C and 2° C. Precipitation chances during match hours range from 49 per cent to 68 per cent.

Dharamshala rain forecast: Day two

According to Accuweather, Friday will see improved weather, with only three per cent chance of showers on day two of the Test match. The weather will be “sunny” with “light winds”, as predicted by BBC, meaning fast-bowlers might get some assistance.

Another clear day, with Accuweather predicting “plenty of sunshine” and no chances of rain throughout the day. The temperature will stay between 6° C and 8° C during match hours.

Dharamshala rain forecast: Day four

The fourth day of the Dharamshala Test is going to be pleasant as well, with BBC predicting a “sunny” day accompanied by light winds. The maximum temperature is predicted at 9° C, with the minimum temperature at 3° C.

Dharamshala rain forecast: Day five

The last day of the Test is likely to be overcast with 99 per cent cloud cover but rain is unlikely. There is only a three per cent chance of rain.
