Watch: Australia captain Pat Cummins produced a stunning delivery to clean up his opposite number Rohit Sharma.

The India captain had batted beautifully on day two to notch up his ninth Test hundred. His knock was crucial as India consolidated their advantage, and with Ravindra Jadeja at the other end, the hosts would have been looking to capitalize on the harder and newer ball. Cummins, though, had other ideas. He slanted a delivery in on a full length on middle and off stump. Rohit got a half stride forward and tried to defend. The ball, however, pitched and nipped away sharply, going past Rohit’s outside edge and sending off stump cartwheeling.

Cummins, prior to this, had gone wicket-less in the match and had been the most expensive Australia bowler on display. But just when Australia needed him to break open the game, their captain obliged, producing an exceptional delivery. The way Rohit was batting, it seemed as if something special was needed to get him out – this was something special, from a special bowler.
