Watch: Mohammed Shami Sends Cameron Green's Off-Stump Cartwheeling With Away-Nipping Beauty In Sizzling Spell

Watch: Mohammed Shami was the source of yet another scintillating stump-cartwheel today (March 17) as he castled Cameron Green’s off-stump in a sizzling spell in the first ODI against Australia.

Australia collapsed from 129-2 to 188 all out in the last 16 overs of their innings at the Wankhede. They were bowled out in the 36th over thanks to a brilliant performance from India’s bowlers, Shami in particular. He had already bowled Josh Inglis in his previous over after an inside edge deflected onto his stumps.

Green now at the crease, Shami bowled a scorching delivery which nipped away a fraction off the surface. The ball squeezed past the outside edge of Green’s bat as he looked to defend and uprooted his off-stump. As the pole flew out of the ground behind him, Green held the pose of his attempted shot well after the stump had settled on the ground a couple of metres back.

That wicket left Australia 174-6 with their last real hope of posting a competitive total back in the dressing room. Shami picked up his third in as many overs when he dismissed Marcus Stoinis six balls later. He finished with figures of 3-17, leading a superb effort from India’s bowlers.

After their catastrophic collapse, Australia came out fighting with the ball. Ishan Kishan only lasted two overs before he was dismissed by Stoinis for three. Mitchell Starc then took two wickets in as many balls, sending Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav back to the dugout and reducing India to 16-3.
