Watch: KL Rahul picked up a one-handed stunner to send back a well-set Usman Khawaja during the second session of the Delhi Test on Friday.
Khawaja, who had made 1 and 5 in the first Test against India, was en route to scoring his second hundred in three Tests, batting on 81 with 12 fours and a six to his name. The opener looked at ease during his stay at the crease, and it took a stunner from Rahul, stationed at point, to send him back.
Ravindra Jadeja tossed up the delivery outside off, which was reverse-swept by Khawaja towards point. However, Rahul was alert as he dived full length to his right and managed to get his hand to the ball. He managed to hold on even as he tumbled to the ground to send back Khawaja, who stood in disbelief.
It was also Jadeja’s 250th Test wicket, as Australia lost their first five wickets for 167 runs.
