Australia women will take on India women in a five-match T20I series in December, as the sides make their final preparation for the 2023 T20 World Cup in February.

The will be the first bilateral T20I series between these two sides in India since 2012. Australia had won that series 4-1. The sides last faced off in the Commonwealth Games final, where once again Australia came out on top, winning the match by nine runs and becoming the first  gold medalists in women’s cricket at the Games. Australia’s dominance over the global game means they are undefeated in T20I series’ since 2017.

The first match of the series will take place on Friday December 9. The five matches will be played at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai and the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The series will wrap on December 20.
