Five teams will take part in Asia Qualifier B as they look to qualify for the Asia regional final in October this year, from where a direct qualification for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup awaits.
The Bayuemas Oval in Malaysia will host ten games in the Asia Qualifier B from July 26 to August 1, with the hosts taking part alongside Bhutan, Thailand, Myanmar and China.
The tournament already began with a record as Malaysia’s Syazrul Idrus registered the best-ever figures in a men’s T20I, picking up 7-8 in four overs – the first seven-wicket haul in the format.
