Australia have announced a 21-member squad for their limited-overs tour of England, which was confirmed on Friday, August 14, and is scheduled to begin on September 4.
The squad, led by Aaron Finch, will play three ODIs and as many T20Is in a bio-secure environment, playing four tour games before the T20 fixtures begin.
D’arcy Short and Usman Khawaja were the most notable omissions from the 21-member squad, along with Travis Head, Michael Neser and Ben Dermott, who also failed to make the cut.

Three uncapped players, Riley Meredith, Daniel Sams and Josh Philippe, make their way in. Sams was the leading wicket-taker in the 2019/20 Big Bash League, capturing 30 wickets in 17 games at 15.36.
Glenn Maxwell, who last played an ODI for Australia in the 2019 World Cup, and hasn’t played a T20I since October 2019, has also been included, along with Marcus Stoinis, who also hasn’t played an international game in over a year. Stoinis was the leading run-getter in the 2019 Big Bash, scoring a 705 runs from 17 games at 54.23, while Philippe was third on the list, hitting 487 in 16 matches.
The three ODIs, which will be part of ICC’s new ODI Super League, will be played at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester from September 11 to 16, right after the T20I series, which will take place in Southampton from September 4 to 8.
