While India will lock horns against Australia in a high-voltage final of the World Cup 2023, the International Cricket Council (ICC) with hosts BCCI have arranged an enthralling closing ceremony to cap off the one-and-a-half month of cricket carnival.
For the second time in the tournament’s history, the two teams will meet, this time for the World Cup final. Australia prevailed over the hosts in 2003 owing to an unbeaten 121-ball 140 from Ricky Ponting. India, however, are the team to beat this time and will look to avenge the loss to end their 10-year trophyless streak in ICC tournaments.

The closing ceremony of the World Cup 2023 will take place on Sunday, November 19, from 12:30 pm local time. The iconic Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad will host the event.
What to expect and who will perform at the CWC 2023 closing ceremony?
The closing ceremony has been divided into four phases of the match:
Pre-match -Air Show
The event will unfold at 1:35 pm local time with an airshow by the Indian Airforce under the leadership of flight commander Sidesh Kartik. He will marshall the troops of nine hawks, known as the Suryakiran Acrobatic Team, during the 10-minute aviation display.

First innings drinks break – Aditya Gandhi’s performance
In the first innings’ drinks break, famous Coke Studio music producer Aditya Gandhi will grace the stage. His recent viral composition, Khalasi, has been doing the rounds on the internet.
Innings break – Music program
The innings break will see the performance of eminent Bollywood musician Pritam Chakraborty, who is the lead singer and composer of the World Cup 2023 anthem ‘Dil Jashn Jashn Bole’. Besides Pritam, singers Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Amit Mishra, Akasha Singh and Tushar Singh will also light up the summit clash.
Second innings drinks break – Light and Laser Show
The event will conclude with a customary light and laser show, which has happened at many grounds in India during the World Cup.
