England hosted New Zealand for a four-match ODI series in September, where they lost the first match but won three on the trot to clinch the series. This year, England have lost series in South Africa but won in Bangladesh.
New Zealand have played more than England of late (36 ODIs to England’s 22 since the start of 2022), but in 2023, they have lost series in both India and Pakistan (and, of course, in England).
