Bangladesh won their opening game of the 2023 World Cup, at the same venue, defeating Afghanistan by six wickets. The outfield is a matter of much debate, but Bangladesh, having played a game earlier at Dharamsala, will have a better understanding of how to adapt, after being told not to dive unnecessarily due to the sandy conditions.
