Brook is now gearing up for the County Championship, with Yorkshire’s head coach Ottis Gibson suggesting he will be available for the start of the season. Yorkshire play their first game of the season against Leicestershire on April 5.
Ahead of the tournament, Brook warmed up with a brisk 74*, hitting 10 fours and four sixes, taking the team from 75-2 to 196-2 after 30 overs, following which the match was called a draw.
Brook, who has not played for Yorkshire since July 2022, hit two sixes off Brydon Carse and two more against left-arm spinner Callum Parkinson. He reached his fifty in 33 deliveries and formed an unbeaten stand of 121 inside 13 overs with James Wharton, who was unbeaten on 58 in 83 deliveries.
