Watch: Steve Smith took flight for Sussex at second slip to snaffle a marvellous diving catch, removing young Leicestershire all-rounder Rehan Ahmed.
Sussex have been on top of the Division Two encounter since Day 1, and enforced the follow-on after bowling Leicestershire out for 270; Sussex scored 430 in their own first innings.
Smith was dismissed for just three, with Tom Alsop hitting a monstrous 182*, propped up by contributions from Cheteshwar Pujara and James Coles. While Smith’s batting hasn’t yet reached his usual exceptional standards, it seems his fielding is as good as ever.
Leicestershire faltered early on in their second innings, slumping to 65-4, but a Rishi Patel century clawed things back. Rehan Ahmed arrived at the crease with Leicestershire leading by 27 runs, but promptly edged a Henry Crocombe delivery in the direction of the cordon.
At full-stretch to his right-hand side, with his feet propelling his body off the ground, the ICC world number three Test batter clawed the ball from behind him and held on to the catch.
