BAN v NZ full T20I squads
by Wisden Staff 2 minute read

New Zealand travel to Bangladesh for a five-match T20I series ahead of the T20 World Cup with the visitors missing some key Indian Premier League players – here are the full squads of either side for the BAN v NZ T20Is.

New Zealand will miss IPL-bound players, including skipper Kane Williamson, as they prepare to take on Bangladesh in a five-match T20I series that starts on September 1 in Dhaka. The contingent, with a few additions and subtractions, will also travel to Pakistan following that for a limited-overs series that has both T20Is and ODIs.

The Blackcaps will be led by Tom Latham in Williamson’s absence. Aside from Williamson, Trent Boult (Mumbai Indians), Kyle Jamieson (Royal Challengers Bangalore) and Lockie Ferguson (Kolkata Knight Riders) are also missing in action. Rachin Ravindra, the upcoming 21-year-old star has been called up, while Cole McConchie and Ben Sears are other new faces.

For Bangladesh, Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das come in after missing the Australia series after being disallowed into the bio-secure bubble following family emergencies that went past the last date to enter the bubble. Leg-spinner Aminul Islam is the only other player to be added to the T20I side that took on Australia. Mohammad Mithun is a notable omission from the squad.
