Watch: Hassan Ali re-enacted former Australian fast bowler Merv Hughes’ famous crowd-stretch on day three of the ongoing AUS vs PAK Test at the MCG, where he was seen having fun with the spectators at the boundary line.

Pakistan started the third day at 194-6 and were bundled out for 264, conceding a lead of 54 to the hosts. They came out strongly with the ball, however, picking four quick wickets to reduce Australia to 16-4.

Mir Hamza and Shaheen Afridi shared two wickets each on either side of the lunch break, with the former creating a hat-trick chance by removing David Warner and Travis Head off consecutive deliveries.

Steve Smith and Mitchell Marsh then rescued the Australian innings, adding 153 runs for the fifth wicket before Marsh was dismissed courtesy of a spectacular one-handed catch at slip by Agha Salman for 96.

Three overs after the fall of Marsh’s wicket, fast bowler Hassan Ali was seen orchestrating the MCG crowd near the boundary line with some stretches and dance moves reminiscent of former Australian quick Merv Hughes‘ famous crowd-stretches at this venue.

The spectators followed Hassan moves quite in sync, as the fast bowler seemed to be enjoying himself. Last year, Kagsio Rabada was also spotted engaging the MCG crowd with stretches at the boundary line.

Australia finished day three at 187-6, losing the wicket of Steve Smith with the last ball of the day. Their lead currently stands at 241.
