India-Australia series 2020: Full schedule and fixture list for the Test and limited-overs series
After much deliberation, the tour of India to Australia has been shown the green light – here is the full schedule and fixtures from the marquee series.
The much-vaunted series between India and Australia is set to go ahead with the Australian government green-lighting plans, and the complete schedule being released by Cricket Australia.
The schedule drawn up has India’s tour of Australia starting with a three-match ODI series, before the teams compete in three T20Is, following which a four-match Test series commences in Adelaide, starting with a pink-ball match.
India took the Test series in Australia for the first time when they last toured Down Under
The 32-member Indian team, most of which is currently in the UAE, participating in IPL 2020, is slated to arrive from Dubai on November 12, and is expected to clear quarantine by November 26.
A warm-up pink ball match will be played between an Australia A side and the Indian team from December 11-13, before the Tests commence, with the first Test, also a pink-ball game, beginning in Adelaide on December 17.
The second Test of the series will be the traditional Boxing Day Test in MCG, but should the Covid-19 situation make that impossible, Adelaide is reportedly on standby to host that match as well. The series then moves on to Sydney for the New Year’s Test, starting on January 7 in Sydney, before finishing at Brisbane.
