The women’s cricket competition at the 2023 Asian Games has begun. Here is the Asian Games 2023 women’s cricket schedule at the 2023 Hangzhou Games.

Women’s cricket is being played for the third time at the Asian Games after having previously been played at the 2010 and 2014 editions. The competition is slated to run between September 19 and September 25, with three medals up for grabs.

A total of eight teams would be in contention for a medal, with India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka gaining direct entry into the quarter-finals.

Pakistan are the defending champions at the event, having won the gold medal in the 2014 Asian Games. In fact, they won the gold medal at the 2010 Games as well and are the only team to have won the gold at the women’s cricket competition in Asian Games history so far.

Indonesia, Mongolia, Hong Kong China, and Malaysia played in the preliminary round where Mongolia were eliminated.

The quarter-final lineups are decided now, with Indonesia, Hong Kong China, and Malaysia qualifying through to meet India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Thailand in the quarter-finals.

From this stage, every game is a knockout game. The four winners of the quarter-finals will meet in the semis and the winners of the semis will meet in the final for the gold medal. The losers of the two semis, meanwhile, will play for the bronze medal.
