Watch: Virat Kohli wowed fans with his football skills while practising ahead of the India-Pakistan Super Fours encounter in the 2023 Asia Cup in Colombo.

As India prepared for the Pakistan challenge for the second time in the ongoing Asia Cup, Kohli took some time off to display his exemplary football skills while training on the eve of the match in Colombo.

It is no secret that Kohli, one of the best batters in modern-day cricket, is also a huge football fan. He has time and again admitted to his admiration for Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, and recently attended the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United a few months back.

Kohli also owns a stake in the Indian football club FC Goa, and has participated in exhibition football games between Indian cricketers and actors.

It is common practice for cricketers to warm up with a football session, which is what the Indian team were doing ahead of their practice session a day before their big game against Pakistan in Colombo when Kohli brought out his genius football moves which went viral.

Kohli has been in good form in ODIs this year but couldn’t have an impact in the first India-Pakistan game in the Asia Cup where he played on a Shaheen Afridi delivery for just four runs.

While that game was washed out due to rain in Pallekele, both teams would be hoping for better luck in terms of weather conditions in Colombo. The forecast isn’t the brightest but the Sri Lanka-Bangladesh match going through without a rain interruption just a day before the India-Pakistan game at the same venue has raised hopes.
