PAK vs BAN, Asia Cup 2023 Match 7: Team news

Pakistan won their first game of the Asia Cup against Nepal convincingly. In fact, their margin of victory in that game was the second-highest in Asia Cup history. They started well with the ball against India as well in a rain-marred encounter that was eventually washed out.

After Iftikhar Ahmed’s century against Nepal, Pakistan’s XI bears a settled look with the only point of contention being Salman Agha’s form. They would look to give him an extended run and hope he gets back among the runs by the time the Super Four stage ends.

Bangladesh recorded their third-highest ODI total in their game against Afghanistan before their bowlers capitalised on the scoreboard pressure. Promoted to open the innings, Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored his second ODI hundred, while Najmul Hossain Shanto continued his rich vein of form, notching up his second ODI hundred as well.

Bangladesh have been boosted by the return of Litton Das, who will probably replace Mohammad Naim.
