The official schedule for the 2023 Asia Cup is finally out. The tournament will be played jointly in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Here is the schedule for Asia Cup 2023, including full fixtures list, dates, venues, and match timings.

The 2023 edition of the Asia Cup will be held in the 50-over format as a precursor to the World Cup coming up later this year. After a lot of deliberation and revisions due to political tensions between Pakistan and India, the schedule for the Asia Cup has finally been announced.

It was known that the Asia Cup was going to be played across Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with India’s matches being held in the latter. However, the draft version of the final fixtures list had gone through several revisions before the Asian Cricket Council settled on the current version.

The six teams will be divided into two groups of three to begin with with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the Super Fours. The top two teams from the Super Fours will then compete in the Final. Here’s how the teams are divided:

Group A: Pakistan, India, Nepal
Group B: Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka

Asia Cup 2023 Schedule: Venues

The Asia Cup will start on August 30, a day earlier than what was planned in the original draft schedule. Four matches will be played in Pakistan, across Multan and Lahore, while the other nine games will be played in Sri Lanka, across Kandy and Colombo.

The tournament will start with Pakistan hosting Nepal in Multan, while the final will be played at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

The marquee India-Pakistan clash in the group stage will be held in Kandy on September 2. If both teams qualify for the Super Fours, they will meet at the same venue again on September 10.
