The Asia Cup qualifier will begin on August 20 with Singapore taking on Hong Kong. Here is the Asia Cup qualifier 2022 schedule, containing the full list of fixtures and match timings for the tour.
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have qualified automatically for the continental competition. However, one spot remains up for grabs – a spot that will be taken up by one of Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore and the UAE.
For these four teams, this is a great opportunity to showcase their talents and qualify for the Asia Cup. UAE, owing to their recent excursions in international cricket, will begin as favourites. But in a tournament with a quick turnaround, Hong Kong, Kuwait and Singapore will also fancy their chances of qualifying.
All matches will take place at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Muscat, Oman. Singapore and Hong Kong will begin proceedings, before Kuwait lock horns with UAE on August 21. The last game of the qualifiers is slated for August 24 between Hong Kong and the UAE.
