Here is everything you need to know about the start of the 2023 Ashes, including the schedule, squads, venues, team news and how you can watch the marquee series live.

England won the toss and will bat first in the first Test of the 2023 men’s Ashes series at Edgbaston. Stokes’ side sees the return of Moeen Ali to the Test fold after the all-rounder reversed his Test retirement following Jack Leach’s stress fracture that ruled the left-arm spinner out of the summer.

Australia, led by Pat Cummins, left Mitchell Starc out of their XI, favouring Scott Boland and the fit-again Josh Hazlewood over the left-armer.
