Watch: ‘Superman!’ – Flying Jos Buttler takes stunning leg-side catch to dismiss Marcus Harris
Watch: Jos Buttler leapt spectacularly to dismiss Marcus Harris in the opening hour of the second Ashes Test at Adelaide.
Stuart Broad, playing his 150th Test match, was the bowler who struck, bowling a short ball from around the wicket to the left-hander.
Harris failed to make clean contact with the delivery, and tickled the ball down the leg-side before Buttler leapt to hold on with his outstretched right hand.
The wicket saw Australia fall to 4-1 inside eight overs as England’s bowlers kept things tight in the opening hour of the match: James Anderson conceded seven runs from his first five overs while Broad finished his opening spell with figures of 1-4 from four overs.
For Harris, the dismissal will amplify the noise surrounding his place in Australia’s Test XI; the opener has been dismissed for six single-figure scores in his last eight innings.
