In this quiz, you have to name the youngest cricketers based on their maiden Test hundreds.

The first teenager to hit a hundred on Test debut was an Australian, in the 1929/30 Ashes. In 1961, however, a 17-year-old Pakistani hit a hundred, setting a record that lasted four decades.

Finally, in 2001, a Bangladeshi replaced him at the top of the list. At 17 years 61 days, he was 17 days younger than the Pakistani, and continues to remain at the top as of September 8, 2024.

At third place is an Indian, who came close to claiming the world record in 1989/90 in New Zealand but fell for 88. He was 17 years 107 days old when he got his maiden hundred later that year.

The ages mentioned here denote how old they are on the days the respective Test matches began.
