At Headingley in 1981, England completed one of the most famous wins in the history of Test cricket. Trailing by 227, they were asked to follow on, and were reduced to 135-7 at one point.
At this stage, their star all-rounder, who was relieved of captaincy mid-series, smashed an outrageous 149, helped by 56 from their No.9. Still, Australia needed only 130 to win, and were 56-1 at one point when the England captain gave one of his fast bowlers a change of ends. This bowler took 8-43 to bowl out Australia for 111 to seal one of the greatest triumphs of all time.
