In this quiz, you have to name the playing XIs from the first ever Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Pakistan and Bangladesh first clashed in a Test match in the 2001 Asian Test Championship, in Multan. In a one-sided affair, Pakistan bowled out Bangladesh for 134 and 146. Pakistan’s leg-spinner claimed 6-42 and 6-52, while their captain and new-ball bowler took 4-19 in the second innings. However, Pakistan’s other opening bowler, with whom their captain formed a legendary opening pair went wicketless.
Sandwiched between Bangladesh’s efforts was Pakistan’s 546-3 declared, amassed at 4.75 an over. Five of their batters, including a debutant opener, got hundreds (though none of them went past 110). Pakistan’s other debutant got 2-18 in the first innings with his off-breaks. Over the years, he rose up the batting order and led Pakistan in Test cricket.
You have four minutes to name the 22 players. Good luck!
