Bangladesh registered their first Test victory over Pakistan when they beat them in Rawalpindi in the first Test of the series on August 25, 2024.
Back in 2003, just two years into Test cricket, Bangladesh had nearly pulled off a heist in Multan. Defending 260, Bangladesh had Pakistan on the mat at 205-8, before a masterclass by a Pakistan legend stole the game from right under the visitors' noses.
If it had happened, it would have been Bangladesh's first ever Test victory. As it turned out, they had to wait two years for their first Test win and 21 years for their first Test win against Pakistan.
