The England openers added 159 to boost their side to 281 before their all-rounder took 5-32 to bowl out the tourists for 125. In the second innings, an English opener followed his first-innings 83 with 108 to take the hosts to 217. Chasing 374, the visitors were bowled out for 215.
The Test was the last on English soil for the West Indies new-ball pair, widely acknowledged among the greatest in history.
