The first Indian to score a hundred on Test debut got to the landmark during the first Test match on Indian soil, in 1933/34. More than four decades later, his son became the seventh. They remain the only father-son pair to achieve this.
The full list includes some prominent names including several future Indian captains. However, it does not include any of the five leading Test run-scorers in the history of Indian cricket.
