West Indies and Pakistan have been clashing since 1957-58, but the contests really peaked in the 1980s. In that decade, when the West Indies reigned supreme in the world of cricket, the sternest challenge came from Pakistan in contests that featured some of the greatest cricketers of all time. Between 1986-87 and 1990-91, the two teams clashed in three Test series of three matches, each of which resulted in 1-1 draws.
The rivalry has since fizzled out, and has been reduced to two of the perennially lower-ranked sides at the World Test Championship. Still, there is little shortage of drama and action when the sides meet.
